Wrath Of The Lich King Coming This Year

In a recent Vivendi press release detailing the company's first quarter financial results Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion for Blizzard's popular World of Warcraft, is listed as arriving in the second half of this year. Wrath of the Lich King will introduce a variety of new content to the existing game world. Players will be able to take their characters to level 80, explore a vast new continent, and battle other high-level heroes to determine the fate of Azeroth. Very good operating achievements were offset by non recurring or calendar impacts: the first quarter of 2007 included notably the successful launch of the first expansion set World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (the second expansion set is anticipated to be released in the second half of 2008) and the favorable settlement of a tax litigation.
