Alien Swarm Updated to Support New Maps
7:31 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story

The Unreal Tournament 2004 modification Alien Swarm has received another update recently, fixing some issues and adding support for a number of new maps in the unofficial expansion pack, The Telic Campaign.

Alien Swarm takes the FPS engine and moves the camera overhead, giving players a birds-eye view of the action as they act as commander over a squad of troops fighting hordes of alien creatures. Here's more of a description from the site:

Alien Swarm is an overhead view tactical squad-based shooter for UT2K4. Set in the the distant future, the players take the role of a Commander in the Interstellar Armed Forces. They must guide their squad of marines through Swarm infested colonies, overrun bases and outposts, to achieve a variety of objectives. Featuring Assault Rifles, Heat Tracking Guns, Sentry Guns, Flamethrowers and more. Supports co-operative multiplayer.
