WoW Test Realsm, New Dungeon Overview 6:35 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
Blizzard is planning on opening up two public test servers for World of Warcraft in the near future. The servers will be used to test upcoming systems and features, allowing Blizzard to solidify its work on patches. Initial eligibility requirements will be limited to players between levels 55-60, and email invitations have been sent to randomly selected players who meet them. Blizzard adds that all players who have a WoW account will be eligible to participate in future testing. The goal of the public test realms is to facilitate the introduction of any game changes to a live environment. This will allow us to test, analyze, and present new content to players on a regular basis with the shortest delay possible. A list of upcoming changes with the next patch and an FAQ regarding the test servers have been posted for interested players. In related news, a preview of an upcoming new dungeon has also been posted. Named "Dire Maul," this high level area has been overrun with Ogres, Highborn ghosts, and demons.
