9:43 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story

iDevGames has recently announced the winners in the latest of its 21 Days Later contest series. With the theme of this one titled "Accelerated," programmers were asked to create a racing game of some sort while staying within the strict coding guidelines set by the contest rules.

The top 3 winners, from first to third, are Mad Cocoa Race, Frenetic, and Neko Type-R. Fourth through sixth place awards went to Dawn of the Derby, Mini-Sub Racing, and LVThree, respectively.

The judging panel included Glenda Adams, Ryan Gordon, Dair Grant, and Brian Greenstone. The judges were asked to base their scores on a variety of qualifications, including play enjoyment, play mechanics, span of time they would keep the game on their HD, and so forth.

Congratulations to all the winners! Those interested in trying the various titles out for themselves can find download links at iDevGames' forums.
