European World of Warcraft Launches 9:41 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
The European portals for World of Warcraft have offically been launched. With different localized versions being released simultaneously, the WoW community has suddenly become much larger. The European release offers different versions of World of Warcraft with fully localized games for the English, French, and German markets, as well as versions with localized Spanish and Italian boxes and manuals. All of us in North America and Korea would like to give a warm greeting to our European compatriots as they get set to embark on the shining shores of Azeroth for a lifetime of epic adventure! Welcome to the World of Warcraft! As with the U.S. launch, some players may have had problems during the registration process. The WoW Europe site notes that, due to the heavy load on the system, the payment validation pages had to be temporarily taken down. Hopefully they'll have these up and running again soon, if they're not up already.
