The game that made FPS a genre, Doom, has crossed to a completely different type of game. Fantasy Flight Games, makers of board games, collectible card games, and "pencil and paper" role playing games, has released Doom: The Boardgame.

The game is designed for two to four players, with one player controlling the game creatures and the scenario, and the other players playing the classic marine roles. The game features 60 highly detailed miniatures, and graphics taken from the franchise's most recent entry, Doom 3.

Here's a bit from Fantasy Flight Games' Doom page:

The heart of Doom: The Boardgame is the scenario. Before every game, a scenario must be chosen. Each individual scenario will tell you how to set up the game, explain any special rules, and describe the specific objectives you must achieve in order to win the game. You will find several ready-to-play scenarios in the Doom Scenario Guide.
Doom: The Boardgame retails for $54.95 and can be purchased online from Fantasy Flight Games.
