IMG Blogs: A Switcher, Splinter Cell review, and more
10:54 AM | Tuncer Deniz

A few months ago IMG announced a cool new blog feature for IMG Pro users. What's a blog you ask? Well, for those who are unfamiliar with it, a blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger."

The following are clips of some of the more interesting posts that IMG Pro bloggers have recently posted. Be sure to check out the full blogs to read the entire entries.

This first one comes from Ibrin who recently switched to the Mac:

One of my happiest days in recent memory was when I got the call from my wife that the FedEx lady had dropped off my iMac. That was a day to leave work early. ^_^ As soon as I got home, I got to the unpacking and setting it up. Needless to say it was the sexiest piece of technology I'd ever owned.
Grant Davis' blog talks about the new StarWars Special Edition DVD:
I am also glad Mr. Lucas fixed up some of his changes from the first Special Edition that was only released on VHS tape. Some of those changes were not the best quality wise, and stood out from the original too much. This time round it's a lot better in my opinion, Jabba the Hutt in A New Hope actually looks more like the puppet version in Return of the Jedi.
And finally, IMG regular MacProject has posted his own review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell:
I can't even begin to tell you how fun this aspect of the gameplay is. Sam Fisher is a competent fighter, but he isn't heavily armed and must often remain undetected. As such, he must rely on his assortment of gadgets like sticky cameras, a fiber optic camera, and so forth. This is a nice change of pace from the usual blast-a-thons that many are used to playing on the Mac. Stealth gameplay also lends itself to high's fun to go through levels again and try different approaches to dispatching guards or finding alternate ways to proceed. And thanks to the included quicksave option (a luxury for those of us who started with the console versions), replaying certain scenarios is now more convenient!
