Aspyr Media today began shipping Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of World War II to retailers and should be available in online and retail stores by October 30th.

In Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII players can now defeat their enemies with a variety of experimental firepower and vehicles. These powerful new weapons and vehicles are rooted in World War II history, but never saw actual combat – until now. Gamers can become a one-man aerial assault unit when using a prototype rocket pack to fly and fight at the same time.

Players can use these weapons in eight massive WWII combat campaigns including Peenemüende, the V2 rocket research facility, and The Eagle’s Nest, Hitler’s hideaway. All new battlefields offer unique settings ranging from nightfall during the summer in Prague to a winter battle in Norway.

Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII offers more man-to-man combat, as well. Drop from a cargo plane behind enemy lines and prepare for close combat with one-shot-kill knives, new machine guns, and more. Give all of these weapons and vehicles a trial by fire on tough, new battle maps.
