Legacy Interactive has announced that its Ghost Whisperer hidden object game is now available for Macs. Based on the television series, the game follows the exploits of Melinda, Jim, Delia, and Eli as they struggle to solve the mysteries surrounding earthbound spirits.

Inspired by the popular TV series "Ghost Whisperer," take on the role of Melinda Gordon, who has a special gift...communicating with the spirits! Help ghosts with unfinished business to "cross over" into the light. "Forgotten Toys" follows the tale of a famous toy-maker whose haunting past seems to have finally caught up with him. In a new status update InXile Entertainment's Brian Fargo recently
offered new information about the company's upcoming post-apocalyptic Wasteland 2 RPG. The new post includes some enemy portraits, a sample of game music from composor Mark Morgan, and comments from John Alvarado on specific design decisions.

Beyond tone it is the individual moments I remember most when playing a great RPG. The curiosity of wondering how things might have changed based on my actions kept me engaged and wanting to re-play. And our job as designers is to make sure that the different scenarios that play out based on your choices cause real consequence. There is a small moment in the new Rail Nomads camp in which you hear a boy calling out for help as he is drowning. This time it would be a lack of action that could cause his death. Do you swim out to middle of the lake and save him or ignore his plea? And what happens when you are spotted ignoring his plea by a local resident? Do you shoot him before he can let others know of your behavior? These are situations that play out in the Wasteland. Each area has so many combinations and permutations of playing that it is almost statistically impossible for two players to have the exact same experience playing through the game for the first time. This design philosophy is what made the first Wasteland so great and why people continued to play it decades later.

GameSpy has posted a new review of Mists of Pandaria, the fourth expansion for Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft. Features of Mists of Pandaria include the introduction of the Pandaren as a playable race, the new martial arts focused Monk class, a level cap increase to 90, and a range of new content to explore.

From the review:

In theory, at least, Mists of Pandaria is less about the the anthropomorphic bamboo-munchers who spout Confucian aphorisms and more about the war between the Alliance and the Horde -- but it's hard to think otherwise when they're almost everywhere in Pandaria and when, in a first for World of Warcraft, both factions can play them. Blizzard handles them well, though, and with no more silliness than we've seen in the past with gnomes and goblins (and ogres, for that matter).

Paradoxically, this may be WoW at its most mature, as its tales of the corrupting influence of the Sha hint at a more sinister enemy than the Lich King's predictable undead hordes. For every pandaren who talks about his mud-based brew in a drawling Texas accent, there are a dozen more who offer weighty wisdom on the brewing faction battle and the catastrophic consequences of hate. My favorite are the Shado-Pan, the secretive monastic order devoted to protecting Pandaria, who go a long way toward proving that you can, in fact, mention the words badass and pandaren in the same sentence.

Mac Game Store's growing catalog of game titles has increased again, this time with the addition of Rumbic Studio's Lost in Night. The matching title offers its own spin on the genre with unique gameplay modes, square and hexagon playing field shapes, and more than 400 levels.

While other Match-3 games support only one gameplay mode (Swap or Chain), Lost in Night goes a step further by now including Group, a third, new gameplay mode. Swap pieces between spots, trace a “chain” between identical pieces, or – now – explode groups of similar colors. And to complete a level, destroy the marble plaques. It’s harder than it sounds! Another game exclusive is the shape of the playing field: Lost in Night offers a traditional rectangular field as well as an innovative six-sided one for a greater challenge.
