6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Sinister Design has announced development on Telepath Tactics. Set in the world of the Telepath RPG universe, the turn-based multiplayer tactics game will feature support for up to six players in hotseat mode, a new art style, redesigned UI, and a new combat engine.

Have you ever played a game like Fire Emblem or FF Tactics and thought "Man, this is awesome, but I really want to play this against my friends right here in the comfort of my own home?" Well, now you can! Telepath Tactics is a multiplayer turn-based tactics game set in the Telepath RPG universe* that seeks to bring the Super Smash Brothers experience to turn-based tactics. Supporting up to 6 players in hotseat mode, you can comfortably invite friends over, open up some beers, build some armies, and commence the tactical butt-kicking. (You can also play over the internet; beers optional.)

Telepath Tactics features a gorgeous new art style, a totally redesigned UI, and a brand new combat engine that both expands upon and deepens what players saw in Telepath RPG: Servants of God. Matches feature elevation effects, status effects, random item drops, multiple play modes, and multiple elemental strengths and weaknesses for each of the game's 22 unique unit classes.

Here is the full List of Assorted Bullet Points for your edification:

Sequel Planned For Nuclear Dawn
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | 6 comments

In a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything Q&A InterWave Studio's managing director Michiel Beenen revealed plans for Nuclear Dawn 2. The original game combines first person shooter and real time strategy gameplay, allowing players to take the role of a soldier in a war-torn post-apocalyptic world.

Nuclear Dawn is the first game to offer a full FPS and RTS experience, within a single gameplay model, without crippling or diluting either side of the game.

As a soldier, explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes, modelled on modern cities, and take the fight to your enemies as armoured, assault or stealth infantry, using various weapons across ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives. The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization.

Then, take Nuclear Dawn above the action, and play as the commander. Organize your fellow players in squads, and assign them to tactical objectives. Plan the resource routes for your army, and production of your structures for forward deployment. Exploit the terrain and resource point locations to block your enemies’ advance, and crush their plans in an iron fist. Research and implement new technologies to give your soldiers the edge on the battlefield, and set up forward bases to lead the assault on your enemies, with a full complement of defensive and offensive structures to choose from, to build your perfect fortress.

No specifics about the game are available yet, but Beenen encouraged fans to keep an eye on the company's social media sites and forums for more information.
