IMG Reviews DiRT 2, OOTP 12, and Creeper World 2 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Inside Mac Games has posted three new reviews today. Articles featuring Feral Interactive's DiRT 2, OOTP Development's Out of the Park Baseball 12, and Knuckle Cracker's Creeper World 2: Redemption are now available to read. Here are some excerpts: DiRT 2: This game is chock full of content. There's an extensive career mode that takes you all around the world with 8 different race types. You can free race at any time, or even take up challenges from other racers and friends. There are tracks all over the USA, Europe and Asia and it's thrilling to try them all and redo your favorites. Map variety and environments are great, from dusty mountainous stretches of Utah, to moody verdant landscapes of Croatia.Out of the Park Baseball 12: If you’re looking for a baseball management game that gives you complete control over your team as a general manager and/or manager, the ability to play current, historical, fictional, international and major and minor league teams, and mix and match them into whatever type of league you want, you should look no further than OOTP. Oh, yes, and online play is available as well so you can test yourself against other would-be GMs. The degree of control is sometimes overwhelming, but the options should appeal to fans of sports management games. Creeper World 2: Redemption As you go from level to level, you'll continually get new tools to use until a certain point when you're essentially maxed out on technology. From that point on, the levels start to take some extremely creative directions and require you to think very carefully about how you'll approach them. For example, in one level you start surrounded by pockets of the creeper and not enough resources to have a hope to destroy it all when it breaks through the crumbling rocks surrounding it. In addition, homing missiles of creeper are counting down their launch towards your floating fortress. What do you do? You break through the ground, fly into a cavern pocket, build up a hasty network of generators, create a wall of lasers, manufacture the defense against flying creeper, and rush like crazy to clear everything out before your objective is destroyed.
