LEGO Pirates Of The Caribbean Released For Mac

TT Games' LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game is now available for Mac. The action adventure title allows players to enjoy memorable moments from the popular Disney films using LEGO minifigures and items, in a gaming style made popular in previous TT Games LEGO titles.

LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game is an action adventure game bringing to life the Pirates of the Caribbean world and all its colorful characters in LEGO brick form. Players will experience memorable scenes from the first three films, as well as those in the upcoming fourth film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” in the humorous and quirky LEGO video games style.

Gearbox Developers Discuss The Creation Of Borderlands

Game Informer has posted a new video interview with Gearbox's Randy Pitchford, Jimmy Sieben, Graeme Timmins, and Jonathan Hemingway. The game developers discussed the development of the concept and gameplay style for Borderlands, the company's unique RPG/FPS hybrid.

The concept behind the first Borderlands was brewing in the minds at Gearbox for quite some time before the four years of development even began. It was a game that was difficult to define, and the team behind it helped it grow from the phrase "shooter-looter" to a personality-drenched full-scale FPS-RPG love child. Now, two years after the game's release, executive producer Randy Pitchford, lead programmer Jimmy Sieben, lead level designer Graeme Timmins, and game designer Jonathan Hemingway share their stories and help explain what it took to get the game off the ground and onto store shelves. Bioware's Ray Muzyka Discusses Dragon Age 2 Controversy

IndustryGamers has posted a new interview with Bioware co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka. The game developer discussed the controversy surrounding the company's Dragon Age 2 RPG, which has met with some criticism due to the game's differences from the original Dragon Age.

"We also recognize that feedback from core fans is incredibly important, so we take that to heart. We’re listening to it. We’re commercially successful, so we actually drew a lot of new fans in, exceeded our expectations, and what we want to do in the future is make sure we integrate that feedback from our core fans, so they come along with us for the journey, as we continue to build up the Dragon Age franchise and make the next ones even bigger and better so that all of our fans are delighted and surprised. We think we can do that. We can actually take the best of breed features from the original game in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II and put them together; and some of the changes we made in Dragon Age II, we were proud of the team. We think they were the right changes. We wanted the team to push in that direction, but we also want to integrate feedback from our core fans because they’re really important to us. So I think there’s a nice balance that can be struck to achieve that," he added.

Diablo III: Beta Testing, Shrine Mechanics, Cinematics

In recent posts on the Diablo III forums community manager Bashiok revealed new information about the upcoming action RPG. This time the discussion covered a variety of topics including beta testing, experience sharing, Shrine mechanics, and cinematics.

Are Diablo III cinematics still classic kind of narrative-story-telling?

Those who visited for the recent press tour saw the first minute or so of the intro cinematic, which is done in a stylized ‘sketch’ look. The idea being it’s Cain relating his prophecy via his journal, so it’s sort of his journal come alive, if you will. It’s also a lot cooler than it may sound (and on that note the voice/music/sfx were temp in the version we showed).

The 10 intro class cinematics (one for each class and gender) take the same style, but beyond that everything is high detail, high realism, holy-crap cinematics we’ve all come to love. And there’s a lot of it. And they are so bad ass. You’ll be happy.

They only saw the first minute or so of the entire intro cinematic which was the stylized bit with Cain reciting some of his journal. You start up the game, see the intro for the first time, log in, create a character, see the character intro, then start playing. It’s a logical flow.
