Two Worlds II: Castle Defense Announced

TopWare has announced Two Worlds II: Castle Defense, an upcoming strategy game set in the fantasy universe of Antaloor. The tower defense title challenges players to defeat waves of enemy Orcs. Castle Defense does not require prior experience with the Two Worlds setting, but does provide backstory for those who have played the RPG version of the game.
The story itself takes place between Two Worlds and Two Worlds II, giving the player some surprising back story about the conflict between Gandohar and the Orcs of Antaloor. Only now, slip into the mighty boots of Gandohar himself and the fan favorite henchman- Sordahon. TopWare also recently announced a new expansion for Two Worlds II, Pirates of the Flying Fortress, to be released in September.
The gameplay makes the player utilize tactics and upgrades to defeat each wave of enemies successfully. The dark forests, abandoned ruins and winding catacombs will be stained with blood as the fight against the onslaught of Orcs ensues over the five beautiful regions. With the Arena mode and Highscore function, Castle Defense raises the bar for the ultimate challenge against online opponents from all over the globe!
The hybrid release of Two Worlds II: Castle Defense for Mac and Windows will be available in stores this May 17th, 2011. iPad and iPhone versions will also be available in the App store.

IMG Reviews Bejeweled 3

Inside Mac Games has posted a new review of PopCap's Bejeweled 3. The latest version of the popular franchise features eight game modes, 65 achievement badges to collect, a variety of new powerups to discover, and improved graphics.
Here's an excerpt from the review:
Zen is one of the more unusual aspects of Bejeweled 3. This an “unlimited no rush, no stress game", which could essentially go on forever. The randomness of the jewels falling is a bit more controlled in your favor so there are more possibilities for matches. Coupled with this are some ambient audio effects you can choose to turn on. Breath modulation uses graphic and audio signals to slow and modulate your breathing. Turning on Mantras plays relaxing mantra sounds in the background. Binaural sounds attempt to balance your brain. You can choose a variety of relaxing ambient background sounds (ocean, birds, running water, etc.) to accompany your game play. It is interesting, but the relaxed ambient effect is a bit lost when you match one or more of the rather EXPLOSIVE jewels.Read the full review at the link below.

Though it’s the sequel to the original LEGO Indiana Jones game (which covered the original trilogy) and includes levels based on all four movies, LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues (LIJ2) features only new content: you’ll revisit the first three films in different ways.
