LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Coming January 6

Feral Interactive has today announced Thursday, January 6th, as the worldwide release date for the Macintosh version of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for game consoles and PC, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is the latest in a line of LEGO titles brought to the Mac by Feral Interactive.

Combining the quirky and fun gameplay of LEGO with the magic of Harry Potter, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 lets users experience all the thrills and excitement of the first four Harry Potter books and films in a brand new way. The adventure builds from Privet Drive to the Triwizard Tournament in an interactive journey that takes players through some of the most detailed and expansive environments ever created for a LEGO game.

Playing as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley™ and Hermione Granger™, as well as more than 170 other favorite characters, fans will have the opportunity to attend lessons, cast spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and complete tasks to earn rewards.

In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, players will have the freedom to play alone or in two-player co-op as they explore iconic settings from the wizarding world including Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest and the village of Hogsmeade, as they relive the adventures like never before with the fun and creative customization that is unique to LEGO videogames.

New Persian Trailer Available For Tiny Token Empires

BiP Media recently announced the release of a new trailer for Tiny Token Empires, an upcoming strategy game with a comical twist. The trailer features the Persians, one of the five nations featured in the game.

As you may recall, the world’s future is being played out on the game board of Tiny Token Empires:
  • If the Romans win, the entire world will feast on pepperoni pizzas.
  • If the Egyptians carry the day, the mankind will see in 2D…
  • If the Greeks are victorious, philosophy classes will be required from kindergarten…
  • And if the Persians come out on top, all Persian rug owners will benefit from tax breaks!
But what about the Carthaginians? You will learn more about them in 2011!

When the leaders of the five nations come together, how you play will determine the world’s future.

Gemini Wars Announced

Camel 101 recently announced work on its upcoming real-time strategy game, Gemini Wars. Set in the cold depths of outer space, the game features an "epic campaign controlling fleets of ships in massive battles." The game will feature three unique factions, both single and multiplayer action, and a cinematic battle camera.

Gemini Wars is a real time strategy game set in space, featuring an epic campaign controlling fleets of ships in massive battles.

The player will take control of a fleet commander returned from a mysterious exile, and will be taken directly into the center of a bloody and long lasting conflict.

Conquest: Divide And Conquer Updated

Proxy Studios, has announced a major update to their debut title Conquest: Divide and Conquer. The game offers simultaneous turn-based strategy gameplay focused on "smart troop movement and precise operation usage." The update adds offliine play as well as a variety of updates and additions.

The mentioned update adds a popularly missed feature: offline play; a dozen of presentation improvements, such as detailed shadows, bump mapping, and unit travel and death animations which serve to improve the experience for new players and ease the understanding of the game's simple but deep mechanics.

The more mature audience may be happy to know that gore has also been added. Proxy Studios states: "Our plan all along was to present a certain dark and gritty atmosphere, and with the recent improvements to our game engine our goal is becoming easier and easier to realize. This is our style and you can be sure we will never create a flower power game."

Conquest is a simultaneous turn-based strategy game placed in a dark and distant future.

Play the role of a futuristic commander. Divide your armies and conquer the world. Position satellites to reveal your opponents. Launch missiles to annihilate large troop formations, but watch out for incoming drop pods behind your back.

Standing in your path to victory are other commanders like yourself. Fight them off one by one and prove you are the greatest of the great.
