6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

PlayFirst today announced the release of Chocolatier: Decadence by Design, the third installment in the award-winning Chocolatier series, developed in partnership with Big Splash Games. Decadence gives players the new option of creating and naming chocolate confections of their own design.

“We’re thrilled about this game because, for the first time in Chocolatier, you can craft, design and name your own chocolates,” says Kenny Shea Dinkin, vice president and creative director of PlayFirst, Inc. “The better recipes you create, the more you can sell them for—your imagination guides your financial success.”

Like its addictive predecessors, Chocolatier: Decadence by Design weaves a tantalizing period romance into a stimulating economic simulation game. Unlike any game before it, Chocolatier: Decadence by Design sends players on a global hunt for exotic ingredients they can combine to create original candy recipes. Players custom craft the look and description of their individual chocolate creations before naming their new masterpieces and selling them to markets worldwide. In addition to letting players get their hands directly into the sweet, sticky pleasure of chocolate crafting, the game includes two fast-paced mini-games and quests to make and market gourmet coffee and coffee blends.

The full version of Chocolatier: Decadence by Design is available from Playfirst for $9.95, a special price available through February 14. Click over to the site below for more information about the game.
