Feral Interactive recently announced that the Mac version of LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is now shipping. Developed by TT Games and LucasArts, the game combines the fun of the famous building blocks with the cinematic adventures of Hollywood’s iconic archaeologist.

LEGO Indiana Jones follows Indy’s escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Players can build and battle their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy’s entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run.

The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).

With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run.

ToCA Race Driver 3 Reviewed
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Macworld has posted a new review of ToCA Race Driver 3, a racing game developed by Codemasters and brought to the Mac by Feral Interactive. ToCa features 70 licensed cars, 80 licensed tracks, and more than 35 racing types. Macworld gave the game a score of 4 out of 5 mice.

From the review:

In the game’s World Tour mode, you start off with a select few race courses and championships. As you complete each championship’s objectives (usually finishing in the top four), you unlock another tier of racing courses and championships. There are over thirty tiers in the game and each one unlocks on average three new championship series. Expect to invest many hours to unlock the later tiers.

Aside from racing, you can personalize your car in each race. The tuning tab allows you to control downforce, transmission, anti-roll, ride height, brake bias, tires, suspension and toe and camber. It would be nice if the game had a tutorial on how to properly calibrate these functions, because each car handles differently and some are outright impossible to control when you first test them out. Yet, each car is set on default settings for what a realistic drive would be like with the selected car. Every car drives differently; stock cars are top heavy, Formula 1 racers have a tendency to spin-out, monster trucks bounce around a lot. This means that each new championship series requires a steep learning curve as you initially crash the car numerous times on that first turn. Racing fans will enjoy the challenge but casual gamers will find the unforgiving controls frustrating.
