Supernova Galactic Wars 1.1.3 Released

Winter Wolves recently released an updated version of Supernova: Galactic Wars, their space based strategy game for both PPC and Intel-based Macs. Version 1.1.3 features several bug fixes as well as the introduction of a new Survival Battle mode which requires players to survive as long as possible against an unlimited horde of enemies.

Choose your side: the evil Red Legion with her charismatic leader Tanja or the mystic Blue Army and his Great Council? Every side has 10 unique ships, for a total of 20 ships available for you to control. Each ship has up to 3 different types of fire for a total of 26 different weapons!

Featuring Story Mode, Quickbattle and Survival Mode (registered users only). In Story Mode you'll lead your faction to the conquest of the galaxy, destroying the opposition. In Quickbattle you'll be able to setup a custom match choosing from 5 different maps (each one with different playing strategy) and build your own fleet ship to ship. In Survival Mode you'll have to take control of the faction Mothership and survive as long as possible vs unlimited enemies.

IMG Podcast Episode 24 Released

Today IMG released the twenty-fourth edition of the Inside Mac Games Podcast, the official podcast of Mac gaming. Each week we'll be covering all the news in Mac gaming in one tight package. BF1942 Forgotten Hope Maps for Mac

Macologist has recently made available a new set of fan maps for Battlefield 1942. Titled the Forgotten Hope Fan MapPack #6, the folks at Macologist have included a Mac-based installer for ease of installation.

The new map pack includes a number of locales and adds some new features as well, including a few new grenades like the Nebelhandgranate 39 and M18. Some of the new maps included are: Spurning Fate - 1945, Stashuv Area The Attack on Carentan - 1944, Todtenbruch - 1944, Tulagi Island.

Forgotten Hope is a B1942 mod intended to up the realism factor of the WWII shooter, and adds new classes, weapons, and maps to the formula. Download links to the map pack, as well as info on setting up mods for the Mac, can be found at Macologist.

Enable Right-clicking on MacBooks

A resourceful Mac user has found a way to enable right clicking on the new Intel Macbooks, without having to download any utility or buy a two-button mouse. In order to right click, simply press two fingers on the trackpad and the context menu will appear.
