A-OK! The Wings of Mercury Updated 8:17 AM | Anthony Wang | 1 comment
Pyramid Design has updated A-OK! The Wings of Mercury to version 3.7, with improvements to networked missions and performance. A-OK! WoM is a realistic simulation of Mercury spacecraft with real time graphics and trajectory, control center, mission reports, and editors. Version 3.7 features many improvements to networked missions:Login can occur at any time before or during a mission. Time displays are visible on top of the main window. This means every console can see these displays. Displays are automatically reset when the mission starts or MCC is disconnected and is reconnected. Display updates are smoother because of faster telemetry transmission. Flight Director console has its own flight plan and checklists and a note pad. Flight Dynamics Officer plotters now have increased accuracy. Additionally, the following improvements have been made in the spacecraft model: Added more capsule detail including, Destabilizing Flap, Retrorocket Covers and Retrograde Package Straps. Retrorocket flames improved. This is a free update for all owners of version 3.5. The CD-ROM includes both Windows XP and Mac OS X versions and a bonus folder of historic Project Mercury Documents in PDF format! IMG Reviews AGON 10:13 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story
IMG has posted a review of AGON. Here's a clip from the review: AGON: The Mysterious Codex is a compilation of the first three chapters of the AGON saga: London Scene, Adventures in Lapland (No, that's not a porn title, much as you might want it to be) and Pirates of Madagascar. It's convenient to get all three chapters in one software package, especially since it doesn't appear the titles can be ordered individually from the Private Moon site as of this writing, but as I sat down to start playing the game, I was acutely aware that I would only be met by a disappointing cliffhanger when I was finished. Thrown into the mix is the fact that the compilation was released by Viva Media and not Private Moon. Viva Media informed me that Private Moon is still very much involved in the title, though, and the fourth episode (The Sword of Toledo) has an anticipated release date of fall 2006. A Tale In The Desert 3 Preview 8:17 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
MPOGL.com is offering a preview of A Tale in the Desert 3, the most recent incarnation of the popular Egyptian themed MMORPG. The unique nonviolent game focuses on social interaction and puzzle solving. MPOGL.com recommends the game to anyone who enjoys community based teamwork. Are you a crafter at heart? Then this is the game for you. If your looking for the heat of battle then you need to look somewhere else, because this game is 100% non-combat. You start off the game in a random location in the desert, the controls and world seam to be a little overwhelming at first, but instead of being greeted by a mindless NPC you are greeted by a wonderful group of player mentors that are there to guide you on your way. In a lot of other MMORPG games I have played if you ask to many questions you get answers like “shut up noob!” but not in this game. In this MMO you get welcomed with open arms and no question is too dumb to be asked. This game is very community driven and seems to have some of the nicest and more mature people I have found in today’s MMORPG crowds. The rest of the preview can be found at the site listed below.

Heroes Of Might And Magic V: Inferno Heroes Preview 8:17 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Ubisoft has released more background information on the heroes in the upcoming Heroes of Might and Magic V. The various heroes leading the game's factions will play an integral role in the plot and strategy of the latest addition to the long running fantasy series. The heroes of the Inferno faction are the most recent to be featured. Jazebeth Jezebeth is rightfully proud that she has achieved her high standing in the Demon ranks thanks to her temptress’ talents. Worshipping her as a shining example, Jezebeth's Succubus followers strive to equal her ability to seduce and murder for the glory of their Sovereign. Nebiros Though Nebiros has seen more hours in battle than any other being from the depths of Sheogh, he owes his success more to his own luck and unpredictability. Ruined enemies complain that the powers of Chaos itself are on his side, bending fortune to fit his needs. Having killed his way up from a lowly slave to be one of the great powers in Sheogh, it is certain that Nebiros benefits from the cursed blessings of Urgash. Freeverse Software is currently at work on the Mac version of HoMM V. To read about the rest of the heroes profiled head over to the official Might and Magic website at the link below.
