Close Combat Q&A Posted

The web-based magazine HomeLAN Fed has posted an interview with Destineer Studios' president Peter Tamte on the upcoming tactical shooter Close Combat: First to Fight, the first original game based on Destineer's own 3D engine. The interview focuses on the close cooperation with the US Marines during development to make the game feel authentic.
From the interview:
The Marine Corps is integrally involved in all aspects of development because the Marines will actually be using both games as training simulations. There have already been about 30-40 Marines integrally involved -- from Privates to Colonels. These Marines, who were getting shot at in Afghanistan and Iraq just a few weeks before helping us make the Close Combat games, have contributed exceptional expertise to the products in everything from Marine Corps procedures to what it sounds like to get shot at.To read the full interview, follow the link provided below.
Close Combat: First to Fight is currently slated for a late 2004 release and MacSoft has been revealed as the publisher of the Mac version of the game. Stay tuned to IMG to get more information about the game, and be sure to read out first look that was posted last week.

The worldly staff here at IMG wanted to take the opportunity to wish all our Canadian readers a Happy Canada Day.
So whether you're barbequeing in the Muskokas, running from polar bears in Churchill, fixing nets in Pecker's Point, fixing the lines in Spuzzum, tending the wheat in Saskatoon, blowing your trumpet in Sackville, hanging out at the Top Of The World Highway in the Yukon, planning your next conference in Vulcan, examining the future in Economy, swatting flies in Rankin Inlet, dancing your face off in Yellowknife, or just having a grand old time in St Louis De Ha! Ha! in Quebec, remember to be safe, have fun, and don't drink and drive, eh?
