Total Immersion Racing Demo Released
10:58 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story

Feral today released a demo of Total Immersion Racing. The game features revolutionary AI: computer-controlled drivers that all have their own personalities, memories, behaviors and grudges to bear. The demo is available for download through our sister site,

Here's a bit more info on the demo:

Be careful when you block a rival on track, or destroy the chances of a driver in a lower class, he will remember you in later races.

Remember that old rivalries never die, they just get more intense. You will need help in your championship run so choose your enemies with care.

With revolutionary AI technology, a high quality visual 3D engine and real world GT class cars, all you have to do is just drive.

The Total Immersion Racing demo requires a PowerPC G3/500 Mhz or better, Mac OS 9.1 or later, and CarbonLib. To download the demo, head over to MGF. If you are an IMG Pro subscriber, be sure to download the demo off of your Hot Downloads page for a much faster download.

2:30 PM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story

Over the long weekend, game publishers Delta Tao updated the demo to their Mac-only MMORPG, Clan Lord, by granting users of the demo access to the entire gaming world.

Clan Lord, the first massively multiplayer cooperative RPG to hit the Mac, places players in the lands of Puddleby, where they must work together rather than fight each other in order to overcome the game's many obstacles and advance within the game world. The game is continously evolving and being updated by its developers - the new version of the game, v315, is scheduled to be released December 10.

The new demo, available both for OS X and older operating systems, needs at least a 100 MHz PowerPC equipped with 32 megs of RAM and OS 7.5. The demo can be accessed from the developer's website by using the links below -

Warcraft Board Game Reviewed
6:00 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story

Fans of Blizzard's venerable Warcraft series may be interested to know that a boardgame version has been released. While it may not have voiceovers and probably isn't compatible with, it definitely supports multiplayer and contains all four playable races from Warcraft III. has posted a review of the boardgame, taking a look at how well it translates the RTS nature of the computer version as well as its overall fun factor:

The differences between the factions mostly lie in these upgrade stacks, one for each type of unit. The humans can only get each of their unit types up to level 3, whereas orcs can get crazy with melee and elves own ranged.
The overall review is generally favorable, and covers aspects such as spell cards, turn orders, and Age of Mythology comparisons.
