IMG Reviews Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick
10:37 AM | Lucian Fong | Comment on this story

Logitech seems to be racking up awards for their gaming periphals lately and justifiably so. Their latest gadget to hit the street, the Freedom 2.4 cordless joystick is no exception. Sporting ten buttons, an eight-way hat switch, twist grip, and cordless bliss, our flight sim guru thinks they have another hit on their hands. Here is what Tim Morgan had to say:

For the more frugal flyers, however, a plethora of under-$100 joysticks exist, all vying for his or her dollar. In order to catch the eye of these part-time pilots, one can’t simply fill up the unused plastic space with more buttons; more attention to functionality must be expended.

Logitech seems to have recognized this very pertinent fact with the introduction of their Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick. As the name clearly broadcasts, this control system needs no cords. Being the first of its kind on the Macintosh, it will be a welcome pioneer to many gamers, who may not yet even realize the hidden joys of a wireless stick.

MacGamer Reviews Jedi Knight II
10:22 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story

Our friends at MacGamer have posted a review of Aspyr's recently-released first-person shooter, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Overall writer Corey Tamas gives it very high marks scoring it 97 percent out of 100.

Here's a clip from the review:

Kyle does not start the game with his lightsaber in hand, mind you. Like any good story, there is a buildup to the point where Kyle has to make his hard decisions, and this story begins with Mon Mothma asking Jan and Kyle to investigate goings-on on a remote planet that might indicate "remnant" activity, or in other words, the re-emergence of the Empire and those who are loyal to it. Obviously this spells bad news, so Mon Mothma is really interested in making sure that Kyle and Jan do the job they need to do.
