My Spider-Sense Is Tingling.
8:44 AM EST | Brad Custer
Slinging webs and wearing tights, Spider-Man is coming!!
In case you were in a coma or living in a cave this past Friday, Aspyr Media announced that they would be teaming up with Activision to bring us this game.
The port will is being worked on by the gang over at Westlake Interactive.
Spider-Man is a third-person action/adventure, based on the Marvel comic series.
Players play as Spider-Man, high school student Peter Parker who is bitten by a radioactive spider and granted tremendous powers.
Spider-Man uses his powers to fight off evil and make the world a safer place.
Back to the normal Monday grind.
I could have used another Monday off, but alas here I am at working multi-tasking to bring you this latest treat.
Needless to say, I was very excited to see the official announcement this past Friday that Spider-Man was coming to the Mac.
I've been a fan of comics as long as I can remember and Spider-Man has always been a character I enjoyed.
From his appearances on the Electric Company to his many cartoon incarnations, he's always been there as I was growing up.
I even enjoyed the cheesey movies they did of him several years ago.
So it was a natural choice to select this game as my desktop for this week.
I did a montage in the background of Spidey using various art styles of the web-slinger.
A 3-D Spider-Man from the Activision E3 Press Kit was used in the front to create this week's desktop titled, "Wallcrawler".
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. :)
Just a quick update on my search for "retro art".
I haven't received any responses to all the inquiries that I've sent out, but I'm going to keep sending them out and I hope to soon have something for you. :)
Until then...
