Everyone can relax. I know that there wasn't a new desktop yesterday, but it was Memorial Day, which was observed by the IMG Staff. However, I'm sure most of you were outside enjoying the day as I was. This week's desktop was definitely worth the wait in my opinion. ;D

We saw so much at E3 that I'll probably be referring to it for weeks so please bear with me. One of the hottest spots to visit wasn't even located within the walls of the expo, but found across the street in a vacant lot filled with trailers. Yep, I'm talking about the Gathering of Developers Lot. There was a definite carnival feel to this experience and it was easy to get distracted, but through all of this I did see footage of another game I'm really looking forward to which is Max Payne. It was the one game that I new I had to have as soon as I saw the first screen shot. I can't tell you how excited I was when I learned that Macsoft would be bringing this to the Mac.

I was very fortunate to be given a great press kit for God Games that included some nice art for Max Payne. After some quick scanning and a visit to the official Max Payne web site, I put together this week's desktop offering titled, "Nothing To Lose". A lot of behind-the-scenes work went into creating this desktop from recreating the brick wall to scanning in a few key elements. I couldn't obtain my first choice of Max Payne pictures, but in the end I think this one worked much better. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Finally, since joining the IMG family I mentioned that I would be opening a personal site and that I should have a teaser up for you to check out. Well, it's now up for your viewing pleasure! You can visit my personal site and see the teaser at Custer's Corner. Just a friendly warning that it does use the Quicktime Plug-in and you might want to be sure to have a Broadband connection because the .MOV file is 1.8 megs. Check it out while you can because once I get the main graphic ready it will replace the teaser trailer. :)

Until then...
