A RPG With A Sense Of Humor.

KnightShift from Virtual Programming and Freeverse offers the best of conventional RPG and RTS games in a mystic world, full of fantasy, humor and imagination. Choose the Archer, the Amazon, the Sorcerer, Priestess, Barbarian or Spearman and set forth to battle in the RPG mode. Protect your village with Wizard Towers in RTS mode. Combine both and win back your Kingdom in the daring Campaign mode. KnightShift combines diverse gaming ingredients to create a hearty chowder of fun.

During the campaigns the player develops his or her characters and gains access to new weapons, special armor and magic items. You are also able to create new characters and build new structures. All characters controlled by the player gain experience and level-up, increasing their combat potential and magical abilities. The characters may also find special items and weapons, armor and magical amulets, helping them to increase and enhance their skills. Online, KnightShift offers several skirmish and multiplayer modes offering endless additional gameplay.

KnightShift is full of unique and offbeat humor. Other games may have resource gathering, but few have resources that you can milk! Herd, graze, milk and steal cattle to fund your empire... and keep that milk flowing or your economy will wither on the bovine. Spend a little time learning the resource system and your efforts will be well rewarded.

Also make sure to steer clear of the dreaded "Mother in Law" unit who will take over buildings. She moves in, makes them her own, and remains there for the rest of the game. I'd say more, but she's listening.

KnightShift is a light-hearted romp through vales of swords, mists of sorcery, and clouds of methane.

Its bound to keep you clicking late into the night. :)

With our recent review of KnightShift from Virtual Programming and Freeverse, the requests for a desktop dedicated to this game have been filling up my inbox. I enlisted the help of the guys from Freeverse to get a nice selection of artwork which enabled me to create this offering. In this week's wallpaper I featured some of the characters you just might come across. And I am sure some of you would welcome running into a lady in a leather bikini. ;) I entitled it "Mystical" and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. :)

There's also an announcement this week for all you widescreen owners. Because you asked for it, now you have 2 new screen sizes, 2560x1600 and 2048x1280. This brings the count up to 15 sizes to choose from! :)

Everyone be sure to keep those requests coming in!

Until then...
