Aspyr has announced that the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game has arrived in retail stores for the Macintosh.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game is currently available for order from Macgamestore.com for $29.95.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game, based on the hit movie from Nickelodeon Movies Paramount Pictures, brings underwater antics from the big screen to your Mac with a collection of mini games, including Bubble Popping, Driving Games and an Ice Cream Eating Contest. These action games star characters from the movie, Plankton and King Neptune, along with the fan-favorite duo SpongeBob and Patrick, as they explore three modes of gameplay including Travel Mode, Challenge Mode and Versus Mode.
SpongeBob SquarePants is the number one show for kids on all TV. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was one of the most popular movies of 2004. It opened at $33.5 million and went on to gross $85 million domestically and over $140 million worldwide. Opening with trouble in Bikini Bottom, someone has stolen King Neptune's crown and it looks like Mr. Krabs is the culprit! Though he's just been passed over for the promotion of his dreams, SpongeBob stands by his boss, and along with his best friend Patrick, sets out on a treacherous mission to Shell City to reclaim the crown and save Mr. Krabs’ life.
The game takes players on a heroic, comedic quest to new and unexplored territory. Players will assume the identity of either SpongeBob or Patrick -- each with their own set of unique maneuvers -- and work together to save Mr. Krabs and all of Bikini Bottom. Along the way, they will interact with favorite characters from the movie, including authentic voices and special cameo appearances.
