Sight & Sound
Graphically, the visuals range from stunning to… eh. Some models and textures seem mired in the past, but since large, wide-open maps generally require lower details settings to handle such massive expanses, this is understandable. The graphics aren’t bad – though there are some elements that are beautifully done – they’re just not cutting edge. Still, there’s nothing like hearing your teammate announce they’ve just launched an artillery strike and looking up just in time to see a missile cross the sky intent on annihilating your opponents’ defensive turrets in one fell swoop, only to have the missile get shot out of the sky by an artillery interceptor that your spy hadn’t managed to disable in time.
The audio is just fine, with good (if limited quantity) voice acting. There isn’t much music – which is good, the focus has to be on team communication and hearing what’s happening on the battlefield – and the sound effects and in-game voice are extremely helpful in filling you in on the action.

Performance is also great overall. This is, of course, very dependent on which server you are on, how many people are on at the same time, and what kind of ping you are getting. Even on excellent servers with low ping returns, there will be the occasional slowdown if enough action is happening at the same time. But the vast majority of the time, lag was just not an issue. This is especially important in a high paced action game like this one.

Conclusion
This game isn’t for everyone. It requires a certain amount of dedication to merely learn the game over the first week. Teamwork is essential, and gamers looking for a simple frag-fest are going to be frustrated by the goal-driven focus. But for gamers looking for an action-packed, edge of your seat cooperative battle, it’s one of the best games I’ve played to date. Even when you know the maps like the back of your hand, the constantly changing strategy and battle lines will keep the game fresh and the action riveting. If that sounds good to you, then I can’t recommend this game highly enough. Just don’t tell your family I said so, as I refuse to be responsible for anyone’s addiction. Except for my own.

Pros
• Intense, action-packed team-based strategy game
• Varied, (mostly) well-balanced maps
• Excellent variety in both game play and classes
• Built-in tutorial helps you get started

Cons
• Steep learning curve
• Requires fairly high-end system
