Ambition

They need to make a pill for ambition, so you can get ambition when you need it, and not while you are in the middle of working. Ambition only gets in the way of your job.

My babygirl turns 17!

Today, my most adored feline friend turned 17. This is quite an amazing trend in her life, because for the past 14 years of said life, every Vet she went too told me she would not live longer than a few years due to her ~size~.

BAH! I tell those stupid doctors, what do they know? She is just a big kitty! Well, foo on them, because she keeps proving them wrong.

Conspiracy Theory #142

Anti-Virus companies that charge a monthly subscription fee to get the latest virus definition updates, are most likely one of the contributers to new virus' that come out each month. They need to keep the money flow in, right? So it is in their best interest to create new virus' each month!

Another stupid PC moment

Ok... sadly to say my PC has the better sound support (rassafrackin Creative and their lame Mac version SB Live card... I won't go there, thats another story), so I wanted to play some DVD's on it, since it has a DVD drive.

HA! Well, thank YOU microsoft, but apparently you have to "pay" for a teeny little "codec update" to make playing DVDs a reality. Irregardless if you dont want to record or master your own DVDs, and despite the fact you had to BUY the drive, and BUY the dvd itself!

So, the Mac just plays them... wow, amazing idea?

LONG LIVE APPLE!

Stupid PC moment

Yeah, ok, so I have this minor PC that I do minor things on. I still prefer my mac for everything I can do on it. Mac OS X Rules.

So, the stupid moment...

I have this 'option' turned on in windows called "hybernate"... its a pathetic and lame version of OSX's "sleep", except its slow to restore, and basically really stupid. So why do I have it on? Uh... forgot to turn it off.

Anyhow, this morning I went to boot my machine, which apparently went into hybernation mode the day before. Well, I wanted to go into BIOS, so I interrupted the system hybernation restore process to do so. After I am done in BIOS I save and restart. The machine then comes up with a message saying "The system startup was intterupted last time, what do you wish to do?" with two options of delete the restore and just boot normally or try again.

Ok, the stupid PC moment... it won't let me select one of the options, because it won't register my USB keyboard. Ok... wtf? I just USED this USB keyboard in BIOS mode! Hell, i use this USB keyboard to get INTO BIOS mode! Wtf wtf WTF?!

So... my PC is sitting endlessly asking me what to do with no way to hit return on an option and make it continue.

How pathetically stupid is that?
