Mac Gamer HQ: Mac Gaming Community
The answer to this question may not be obvious at first but the benefits of a strong community of Mac gamers are huge:
And then there’s the snow ball effect. Do you have any idea of how many people have a Mac but don’t even dare to game on it? You know why they don’t? Simply because trolls tells them that “it sucks”.
- Imagine a community so big that more developers would be forced to pay attention to the Mac platform
- Imagine a community so strong that even Apple would be forced to acknowledge it and support it (with better OpenGL support for example)
- Imagine a community so tight where you can find a guy who has the same Mac as yours and the same game you want. He could just tell you (or even show you) how well it runs instead of you taking a guess based on system requirements.
The more people realize the potential of Mac Gaming, the more Mac users will give it a shot, hence creating a virtuous circle.
