LifeSpark Entertainment, a new studio established by former Blizzard artist Tyler Hunter, recently launched a trailer for its upcoming title Rack N Ruin. Inspired by classics like the Legend of Zelda series, and modern indie titles like The Binding of Isaac, the action adventure game will put players in the role of a demonic wizard with a flair for chaos and destruction. To succeed they will need to defeat hordes of heroic and unholy forces. Taking cues from classics such as the Legend of Zelda series, while infusing the action with the modern trappings of The Binding of Isaac, Rack N Ruin stars a demonic wizard with a flair for chaos and destruction. As Rack, players will discover a wide open overworld to explore, as well as a collection of devilish dungeons, all meticulously hand-crafted by Hunter and his team. But Rack N Ruin isn't about saving the world. It's about corrupting it. It will be the debut release from Hunter's new LifeSpark Entertainment studio. Prior to going indie, Hunter worked to craft the impressive cinematics of StarCraft II and Diablo III, while also contributing in-game assets to World of Warcraft. More about the game: Rack n' Ruin is an action adventure game featuring Rack, a demonic wizard with a flair for chaos and destruction. Use a combination of malevolent magic, apocalyptic abilities, woeful weapons and insidious items as you journey across a vast open world. Ransack ancient dungeons, defeat hordes of heroic and unholy forces, battle a collection of behemoths and bosses, and discover the secrets of the land you seek to conquer. Watch your demonic powers grow as you enslave and corrupt the land, twisting fairytales into nightmares and turning paradise into pandemonium. The wonderful hand-painted artwork within the game is created by former Blizzard artist Tyler Hunter, whose work you may have seen in World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Prey. Rack n' Ruin aims to recapture the magic of classic adventure games like Legend of Zelda and Alundra, while also drawing inspiration from modern indie titles such as the Binding of Isaac. It's a nostalgic yet fresh experience - a cheeky adventure that leads players on an enchanting journey. Rack N Ruin is set for release early next year on Mac and Windows PCs, with iOS and Android versions to follow.
