Project Eternity Becomes Most Successful Game Kickstarter

Obsidian Entertainment's Project Eternity Kickstarter successfully concluded with a final tally of $3,986,929, making it the highest funded video game Kickstarter campaign thus far. Drawing on classics of the genre such as Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment, the game will feature character creation, a party of adventurers, tactical "real time with pause" combat, dungeon exploration, and a storyline the developers promise will be compelling. Unfortunately this couldn't last for an Eternity, but it was an absolutely incredible run.
