Feral's Edwin Smith Discusses Empire Total War And More 6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Appletell recently posted a new interview with Feral Interactive's Edwin Smith. The executive producer discussed a range of topics including bringing Empire: Total War to Macs, digital distribution, and dealing with delayed release dates. Appletell: What is it about the Total War series that keeps drawing you to it, as both publishers and gamers?Smith: As gamers? If you asked the Mac gamers on the Feral Facebook wall what the Total War series means to them, you would there all day! For some, it’s all about the 3D battles, others it’s the realistic representation of troop movements, and some people are all about the politics. You’d get the same variety of responses if you asked everyone at Feral Towers. As publishers, if you are given the opportunity to bring a game that is not only award-winning but also has a huge and loyal following, it’s something you grasp with both hands. The game is huge, and very detailed. This means we have had to work really hard testing all the different areas, but it’s always worth the effort when we start to see all of the thousands of fans having fun playing the game and leaving positive reviews.
