Worms 3D Demo Passes 50,000 Downloads 7:54 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
Prolific game developers Feral Interactive announced last week that the demo for their popular turn-based strategy game Worms 3D has been downloaded over 50,000 times since its release this spring. The multiplayer strategy game pits earth-chewing Oligochaeta (look it up) against each other in a battle to the death through the use of a wide variety of unlikely weapons. Featuring a dark sense of humour, exploding sheep, and turn-based gameplay comprised of both action and strategy elements, the family-oriented game rewards whichever team has any players left standing by the time the dust settles. Players interested in checking out the title should head over to IMG's sister site MacGameFiles, which, so far, accounts for over ninety percent of the game's downloads, and grab the 207 MB file for themselves. Players interested in purchasing the full version of the game should follow the links to the IMG Store, where the title can be purchased for $29.95 USD.
