The Incredibles Game Coming to the Mac

Apple recently posted a new game trailer on their site for a tie-in to the upcoming Pixar animated film, The Incredibles. While it may not be too surprising, given the CEO for both companies, to see the The Incredibles game coming to OS X, the trailer shows what seems to be some impressive gameplay elements beyond the average movie-to-game license.
Along with the Mac version, THQ is also targeting the game at the PC and console markets, and there are indications from early previews that the game may not just be for young children who have typically been the market for spin-offs of previous Pixar movies.
A recent preview of The Incredibles at IGN mentions this along with a description of the title:
Throughout approximately 20 levels, gamers will have a chance to take control of four different characters. Two of those characters are being held secret by Pixar, but the demo show the other two -- Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl -- in action. For more information, stay tuned to IMG as the movie (and game) near release this fall.

Elastigirl is by far the more interesting character to play. Sure Mr. Incredible is, well, incredible, but Elastigirl has stretching powers. Along with punches and kicks, Elastigirl can stretch her arms across the screen to grab enemies and jostle them, making for a ranged combat fighter who still uses her hands. Aside from using her long reach for combat, Elastigirl's elongation powers will be utilized for solving puzzles in the game. And hey, you can swing across ceilings in certain areas to boot!
