Unofficial Unreal Tournament 2004 Sound Patch Released

An unofficial sound patch for Unreal Tournament 2004 has been released. The author, only known as "petterflink" on his mac.com filesharing page, says the patch resolves issues with the Unreal Tournament 2004 sound engine. The file, openal.dylib, claims to fix problems with the OpenAL libraries, which games like UT 2004 and America's Army use.
Please remember that this is an unofficial patch, is not supported by Epic Games or MacSoft and agree to use it at your own risk.
To install the patch, do the following:To install, backup your copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 application first. To download the patch, please follow the link below. Be sure to post comments about the patch once you've tried it.
Then CONTROL-click on the application icon of UT2004 to "Show Package Contents."
Then replace the openal.dylib file that currently resides in your System folder of your UT2004 .app bundle.
