In addition to all of last Friday's updates from Virtual Programming, Mark Thomas of Coderus wrote with news on yet another game underway which might interest Mac gamers, KnightShift. The title is a fantasy real-time strategy (RTS) which employs many role-playing game elements in three full storylines.
According to the update, the game has reached "Alpha" status, and Thomas notes he is using Coderus' "MacDX" technology to do the porting work. Here's more about the game's status from the Virtual Programming site:
The games inbuilt editor is working great and can load and save all the levels. First impressions are that performance is good to cover a wide range of machines. Requirements for the game are looking to be 10.2.x due the requirement of the vertex shader for the character motions. For more on KnightShift, check out the product page for features and screenshots. Stay tuned to IMG for more, as they expect the game to be available this May.
