UT2004 fans interested in the text-to-speech feature may want to check out some recent uploads at IcculusFinger. Ryan Gordon has posted an mp3 along with an accompanying screenshot that demonstrates the feature in action.

The demo shows off a little action in UT2004's internet chat client as Ryan interacts with some friends. In his log, he notes that the feature has been surprisingly requested more than a few times.

Those interested in checking it out can find links to both files at IcculusFinger.

In related news, Atari has posted a press release proclaiming that the UT2004 demo has hit the 1.5 million download mark in the first week of its availability. This puts it ahead of UT2003's benchmark, and FilePlanet ranks it as one of the fastest demos to reach the 100,000 download mark in the site's history.
