Mac UT2004 Demo Patch Expected Soon 7:59 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
An update to Ryan Gordon's .plan file notes he is wrapping up a few Mac-specific fixes for the just-released Unreal Tournament 2004 demo and that a patch should be available in the very near future. According to Gordon, it "should be out tonight or tomorrow." The update will address issues such as enabling the dedicated server from the GUI and fixing crashes when Apple's iSight camera is plugged in to the computer. Other changes like properly showing the servers' ping times and removing a duplicate config value should also be made available. Gordon is quick to point out all of these fixes have already been rolled into the Mac retail release as well , which should be made available by MacSoft around the same time as the PC version is shipped. Stay tuned to IMG as more word on the demo patch becomes available. In related news, ShackNews has a couple of newly released high-resolution shots of the retail game in action. Head over to give them a look.
