European game publishers Feral Interactive updated their website late yesterday with the news that their latest title - the highly-anticipated adventure game Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc - is now shipping around the world.

Hoodlum Havoc, the third installment in the popular Rayman franchise, puts players in charge of the unlikely hero as he journeys through the most unlikely of locations - his best friend's stomach:

Rayman, the only gaming hero with no arms, no legs, helicopter hair, and brand new powers, is heading to the Mac! Save Globox, defeat the Lord of the Dark Lums… The crusades of this legendary, limbless hero are praised throughout the land of the Teensies and beyond. Rayman’s tireless quest to defend the World from evil in all its dastardly forms continues against the Hoodlums, a fanatical army that would like nothing more than to see Rayman on the business end of a Hoodmonger’s Boomstick rifle. Thrust into the most harrowing challenge of his adventuring career, Rayman must explore strange, uncharted realms in search of clues to defeating the unruly Hoodlum horde.
While the franchise has proven to be highly-successful - over 11 million copies have been sold to date - Hoodlum Havoc marks the first time the popular series makes an appearance on the Mac. Bucking the recent trend of new games demanding a high performance Mac, Rayman 3's minimum system requirements are surprisingly low - a 500 MHz G3 or G4, equipped with a 16 MB video card, and either OS 9.1 or 10.1.3 or later.

Players curious about the new game should head over to IMG's siste site MacGameFiles.com and download the game's 121 meg demo. Better yet, why not swing over to the IMG Store and order your own copy for $44.95 USD.
