State of Shadowbane Posted 8:05 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
UbiSoft has posted another State of Shadowbane article, giving a glimpse into the current status of this Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), as well as where they are hoping to take it in the future. The article discusses the recent opening of the game to European players and the Rise of Chaos expansion, both of which have been deemed a success so far. They also touch on exploit usage and how they plan to crack down on those players not being fair to others, and where the team is hoping to take Shadowbane in the near future: We have another major patch scheduled for February, which will focus almost entirely on bug fixes and balancing. The Shadowbane team has been gathering the most critical issues from our players on the forums and in support petitions. We have been collecting the worst of these problems into a "most wanted" list so that we can eradicate them in February. Topping this list is lag and sb.exe error crashes. Memory leaks are another hot item in line to be worked on, as well as some class and race love that has long been requested. We will be discussing the entire list of changes, fixes, and balancing improvements in our Developer Chat next Tuesday. The chat mentioned there is happening this afternoon at 5:00PM EST on IRC if you're interested. Check out the rest of the article for more on Shadowbane.
