IMG Feature: A Beginner's Guide To NWN Modules 10:06 AM | IMG News | Comment on this story
Two of IMG's writers recently spent some time playing through the hundreds of modules available for Bioware's hit RPG Neverwinter Nights. Though there are many extremely good ones out there, they managed to narrow the list down to three each. In addition, the article provides just about everything you need to know about the game. Here's a snippet. After downloading a module your next step is to install it. Just unpack the module files (they are usually in zip format and should unstuff without any problems in Stuffit Expander). To do the actual install you only have to drag the module (filename.mod) to the folder named “modules” in the Neverwinter Nights folder. If the module contains a hak pack file (filename.hak), you put that in the “hak” folder and movies (movie.bik) goes to the “movies” folder. If there are any other files to install, please refer to the modules readme to get help with the installation. The location should be rather obvious in most cases. After that you’re all set to go, just launch Neverwinter Nights, click “New” on the main game screen and after that you click on the “Other Modules…” button to get to a list where you can select what module to play. From there you just create or select your character and start to play. To check out the full article, follow the link below.
