Shadowbane In-Development Updates 9:52 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
The official Shadowbane site has posted some new information regarding patches that are currently in development. Added to the mix is what has been dubbed "Patch Two: Rise of the Upstart Gods," which will bring with it the awakening of Lost Gods as well as new demi-gods. The patch will also include two new improvements, including Strategic Siege Improvements and Divine Favor. The Siege Improvements will include Siege Spires, which are described as rule-altering devices that will change the strategy behind taking down a city. The Divine Favor takes into account city building: The Divine Favor system is designed to make successful city building more important as well as add a new play activity to the game. City owners can place a set amount of these shrines in their city and guild members can sacrifice offerings at shrines that match their own that are elsewhere in the world. This will raise their city's stature. As their stature increases, so does the shrine, growing to an impressive, colossus-sized statue. These shrines will give players of that nation a 'boon' – a healthy enchantment based upon the city's stature. More information on upcoming SB patches can be found at the official site.
