AvP Teaser Movie Trailer Posted 10:13 AM | Jean-Luc Dinsdale | Comment on this story
In a strange case of art imitating life, or rather, art imitating games, a teaser for 20th Century Fox's upcoming release of Alien Vs Predator has been posted on the Apple Quicktime Movie Trailers website. The movie, currently filming in Argentina, is being driven by the team that produced 48 Hours, the Lara Croft movie franchise, and The Matrix franchise. Director Paul W.S. Anderson is familiar with the task of bringing game franchises to the big screen - past credits include the movie versions of Resident Evil and Mortal Combat. The movie is scheduled for an August 2004 release. Over on the gaming side, while there has been no official word on whether or not franchise owners Fox Interactive plan on extending the series, chances are good that a third installment, based on the upcoming movie, will soon be coming down the pipes in time to take advantage of the marketing power behind the movie. Which will in turn fuel a sequel to the movie. Which will then spawn a fourth game, ad infnitum. Welcome to Hollywood. Click on the link below to watch the teaser. Players interested in the game who have yet to try out the titles can order both games online from the IMG Store for as little as $14.95 - check out the link to find out.
