Shadowbane Server Migration Underway 10:55 AM | Alvaro Radigales | Comment on this story
As reported in Shadowbane's official web site at Ubi Soft, the popular MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) is undergoing server migration testing. According to the official news announcement, a new server called "Refuge" will be added to Shadowbane's test environment, and all players are encouraged to move to the new server in order to help the development team find any possible bugs in the migration script. Here is a brief excerpt from the official announcement: We will begin using the new Migration Transfer script on Test Server later this week and this will allow our TS players to choose a new server to play on. The only server available for migration will be Refuge. One of the areas in which we really need your help is during the migration process. It is really important that our test players take a really close look at their skills, training points, attributes, and equipment before making the jump. This way if any errors are found after the transfer we can re-examine the root causes of these problems and make any necassary adjustments. For our players who currently do not participate on the Test Server we ask that you jump over to Refuge and create some characters there. We really need you to level up quickly, build some cities if possible, and join and create lots of guilds. We need lots of data about how these institutions will be affected when characters from another world start beaming in. Just like our TS players, please be sure to tell us in the Test forums if anything really strange occurs once migration begins and ends.
