HomeLAN Previews Republic: The Revolution 8:36 AM | Alvaro Radigales | Comment on this story
With the occasion of Republic: The Revolution's imminent release for the PC platform, gaming network HomeLAN updated their preview of the title with the impressions gathered from the latest beta disclosed by Elixir Studios. Among the changes featured in the latest beta are the addition of in-depth tutorials and many performance improvements. Here is what HomeLAN has to say about the former: This beta build pretty much reinforces our views of the game from the earlier version we played: Republic is a very deep and involving title. In our earlier version we wondered how hard it would be to get into the game. However that problem has been solved for our near final build. We were very glad to see that Elixir had put in tutorials in the game. If you ask for them, the tutorials take you out of the game world for a bit to show you around the many varied menus and parts of the user interface that will enable you to start your revolution. However, there is still a bit of a learning curve to the game even with the help you receive and as such this may not be the game for everyone. A Mac version of this political uprising simulator has already been confirmed by Feral Interactive, and while no solid release date has been confirmed, it is expected to hit the shelves shortly after the PC version, which is scheduled to be released later this month. For more information on Republic, be sure to check its official web page through the link provided below. Also, head to HomeLAN Federation for a hands-on preview of the title.
