Massive Online Gaming Magazine in Publication 6:00 AM | Scott Turner | Comment on this story
As was sure to happen with the surge in Massive Multiplayer Online gaming, a new magazine about this type of gaming called, Massive Online Gaming has declared its opening for publication, and is now accepting requests for subscriptions. The magazine is published by Incan Monkey God Studios, a company formed by five former employees of Origin, developer of the first ever MMORPG, Ultima. While the genre has largely neglected Mac users, there are a number of Mac-specific titles listed on their site such as Clan Lord and Arcane Arena. In the content section, the publishers list what they claim Massive Online Gaming will bring to its readers: In Massive Online Gaming, we strive to bring you news, updates and official information about established and up-and-coming MOGs. Each issue covers all the biggest games, plus articles on other popular games. We also spotlight several lesser known titles and "fellow travellers"-games that aren't quite MOGs, but are still Internet-based multiplayer games. Our game list changes from issue to issue, so let us know what you're playing or looking forward to! If you'd like a better look at what some of the magazine will look like, you can download a PDF file containing a sample of their first issue's content. You can also sign up for a subscription to their magazine directly off of their website, with each issue costing $5.99 in the US, $7.99 in Canada and $9.99 overseas.
