The third-person shooter/adventure title Deep Space Nine: The Fallen has been slightly delayed, according to a press release from publisher Simon and Schuster. This is the second delay for this title, but a much shorter one than the first -- DS9: The Fallen was originally to ship in Spring, but was delayed until September.
According to this update, we should see this game for Mac and PC in October. Here's an excerpt from the release:
Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today that it's highly anticipated Star Trek game (for the PC and Mac) titled "Star Trek Deep Space Nine(R): The Fallen" will now ship in October. The game was originally scheduled to ship in mid-September. Doug Hare of The Collective, developers of the Unreal Tournament powered game for the PC and Mac commented on the slight delay. No Mac OS version of the demo they refer to was released. DS9: The Fallen is an epic adventure set in the Star Trek universe; one unique feature is the ability to play the game through three times, with Kira, Worf or Sisko as your character. For more information visit the game's web site.
"The game is already looking awesome, as tens of thousands of people who've played the demo already know, but we just want to spend a little more time to get it just right."
A reminder - fans can interact with The Collective via a bulletin board which is located at The Fallen's web site: www.ds9thefallen.com.
