Geneforge OS X Beta Updated 6:00 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story
Spiderweb Software recently updated the Carbonized beta of their role-playing game Geneforge. According to Spiderweb's Jeff Vogel, this 1.1 version of the title should now have more fixes, including support for Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. While Vogel is seeking comments on the application's stability under OS X, he also wants to make sure it's still working for users of older OS's, and it should run on systems with OS 8.1 or above. Here's a post from the Spiderweb forums: If you try out the Geneforge OS X beta, could you drop me a line ot let me know how it works? E-mail spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com. If it works correctly (or not) I'd love to hear about it.Also, don't feel you have to have OS X to try it out. I also need to hear how it works on Classic systems... Today (8/30/02), we updated the Geneforge OS X public beta, fixing a few bugs and making it not fall apart on OS X 10.2. Comments are still highly welcome (including the ever desired "Tried it. it worked."). If you're interested in trying out Geneforge on OS X, head over to Spiderweb now and grab the latest beta. The download weighs in at 12.5MB.
