New Doom III Screens

In a recent UK-based press event, Activision issued two new, high-resolution screenshots of id Software's upcoming first-person shooter, Doom III.
This sequel of a sequel, Doom III takes place sometime during the original Doom. It features incredibely detailed graphics, revamped gameplay, and frightening new elements that put the gamer on the edge of their seat. For more information about Doom III, check out The Daily Telefrag's in-depth preview. A link is provided at the bottom of the article.
In the first screenshot, we are given a dark and cold interior of some sort of cargo ship as a setting. A close up of a soldier's face is shown giving a questionable look at a passing scientist, who returns with a nervous glance. Another soldier can be seen in the background.
The second picture is quite a different story. The setting is within some sort of underground tunnel, where two zombies, a slender one in front, a plumper one in back, don't seem very happy.
Use the links below to view both shots in detail, though be warned that at 1600x1200, both are very high resolution. Since the screenshots are so big, our suggestion would be to save the screenshots to your Mac and use a graphic editor such as Photoshop or Graphic Converter to view them.
