Elite Force 2 Impressions

The Adrenaline Vault has posted brief impressions of a demo of Ritual Entertainment's upcoming sequel to Star Trek: Elite Force. Based on the Quake III Arena engine, this first-person shooter again places you in the shoes of Hazard Team chief Alex Munro.
This demo was shown off at the CPL Championship 2002 Event. Here is a bit of what they had to say:
Although the short demo once again shows the Borg lumbering through their ship - a location all-too familiar from the first title - the amount of graphical detail and level interactivity is impressive. The most visually stunning moment has the game's male lead stumbling upon a full-scale Voyager - which the Borg are holding in the grip of a massive force field. Ritual is certainly doing impressive things with the QUAKE III Arena engine - their take on the Borg is creepily reminiscent of character art from Heavy Metal magazine - even if the demo's gameplay and setting are immediately familiar.Note that this sequel is being developed by Ritual and not by Raven Software, with a scheduled release date in the second quarter of 2003 for PC (no Mac version has yet been announced).
