NeverWinter Nights Q&A
7:02 AM | Tristan Kane | Comment on this story
Gameguru Mania has recently posted a short Q&A with Brent Knowles of BioWare regarding the much talked about RPG Neverwinter Nights. The interview covers the basics of what the game is, and where it fits in the spectrum of RPG's on the market.
Here is an excerpt:
Predrag: Can you compare Neverwinter Nights with good old Baldur's Gate? Will Neverwinter Nights offer gaming community same what Baldur's Gate did - revolution in RPG genre? Less? More? While hardened RPG fans who have been following the plethora of press surrounding this title will not really find anything new here, it does provide some good basic comments as to where the game fits in the overall RPG market. Neverwinter Nights is being ported for Mac by MacSoft and is expected some time later this year.
Neverwinter Nights Q&A at Gamerguru Mania
Brent Knowles: Adventuring, puzzles, evil villains and epic combat are some of the core elements of the Baldur's Gate series, and Neverwinter Nights has these all in abundance. And when the awesome campaign is finished the game isn't done, unlike BG. The player will be able to build their own adventures or download those that others post to the Internet. Many players are finishing the campaign via single-player and trying it out again in multiplayer. The replay opportunities are endless -- and I think that is one of the major defining features of a good role playing game
